EVER WONDER ABOUT SOLID LOTIONS?

Solid Lotion is a special treat! This one by Soap Scentsations has Natural bee's wax (unbleached, still smells of warm honey) and natural butters packed into each bar for the best moisturizing. Each scent is carefully selected to go well with the natural smell of the bee's wax and of course I offer it in unscented as well. Many people are surprised at how wonderful solid lotions can be...not sticky or greasy, but long lasting moisture that soaks right in. As an added bonus, it is extremely convenient. Each 1 oz bar comes packaged in a metal travel tin that is just the right size for even the smallest of bags. And when your bar is gone (these babies last months!) make sure you save your tin as I offer refills to save in packaging waste and your hard earned $$! Be sure to grab one for each of your bags!

Hansen Soap Co. says people should try out her solid lotion because: It is natural and has wonderful natural Jasmine Flower Wax added to it. Jasmine Flower Wax is derived directly from the Jasmine flower and is absolutely wonderful for the skin. And the natural Jasmine scent is intoxicating! It is like being in a field full of Jasmine flowers. It is so creamy, spreads on beautifully and is not messy because of the portable push-up tube. A little sure goes a long way with this lotion. Just a perfectly divine solid lotion in every way.

And Blissology has a great solid lotion that is perfect for your feet! Footsie Bars are hard lotion bars specifically made to pamper cracked, tired, overworked feet. Beeswax and oils moisturize and condition even the driest skin. Scented with peppermint essential oil, it comes in a twist-up tube so you don't have to get your hands messy. This is Blissology's best-selling item of all time and has fans that just keep coming back for more - for them and everyone else they know! Each bar is only $8.95 and lasts a good long time.

DO YOU HAVE A PASSION FOR LOTIONS & BODY BUTTERS?

...WE SURE DO! Here are a few...

ZoZca has one that they are particularly proud of. Here is what she has to say about it: The reason why I like it is one, I make it from scratch. I do not use a base. Two, the first words out of everyone that uses my lotion is how nice it feels. That it sinks in and doesn't leave their skin feeling greasy. That their skin feels nice and soft. Three, even if you wash your hands, you don't have to reapply my lotion. Also, I make this with MSM which is known to help with aches and pains. It's not going to cure anything, but it does seem to help. Also, the essential oils that I use and blended all are known to have the properties of helping with aches and pains too. Again, it's not going to cure anything or get rid of them entirely, but they are known to help. Even if you don't need it for that, the scent is very soothing and green and my lotion feels wonderful! Oh, and to top it all off, my lotion is packaged in 100% post consumer recycled bottles.

Bella Luna has a wonderful lotion...and it is available in 8 scents!! Plus an unscented for those with sensitive skin. When asked why you should pick her lotion she says: I love it because it's soooooooo wonderfully moisturizing and is easily absorbed by your skin with no greasy feel. It's loaded with shea butter, grape seed oil, avocado oil, and jojoba seed oil as well as vitamins A, C, D and E, and is 96% natural.

Concord Soap Company offers a bunch of body butters! I picked the Almond Amaretto Body Butter because it just sounds sooo good! Here is a bit about the butter: Our body butter is handmade in small batches to focus on quality! This is a very decadent deep moisturizer. This is not your everyday lotion! The ingredients are mixed together & then whipped slightly. A little goes a LONG way with our body butter! No animal fats, artificial colorants or preservatives in any of our products!

Beyond the Picket Fence offers a face cream filled with wonderful oils! Why should you pick this cream you ask...here ya go: Fairest Face is a metamorphosis of our hand and body creams. We took the skin nourishing ingredients from our creams added a little here, took a little there, and to top it all off added my favorite oil, Carrot, reformulating it into a lighter, even more luxurious cream. Carrot oil is rich in beta carotene, vitamins A and E and provitamin A. Carrot oil is wonderful for dry, chapped and cracked skin due to its balancing effect on the skin.

COME JOIN US FOR A DISSCUSSION ON MELT & POUR SOAPING

Monday April 6th – Melt-and-pour soaps: Anne-Marie Faiola of Brambleberry (one of the soaping world’s biggest suppliers) will talk about melt-and-pour soap … what it is, why it works, how it is different than CP, additives such as herbs, GRAS, fragrances, Essential Oils, labeling, and claims.

Anne-Marie has been making soaps and toiletries since she was 16. Always acrafty girl (she knits, makes paper and handmade cards, and also rubberstamps), she settled on soaps and never looked back. Anne-Marie started selling her handmade soap creations in Chehalis, Washington at the age of 18 to the gift store Traver's Electric and continued to expand her clientele throughout college.

After college and a brief unsuccessful stint as a correctional officer, she founded Bramble Berry Inc. to sell quality raw materials (including butters, oils, fragrance oils and colors) to the soap and toiletries makers of the world. Now in its 11th year of business, Bramble Berry serves over 33,000 customers world wide and has been featured in magazines such as Women'sWorld Daily, Herb Companion, HomeArts, Parents Guide, Herb Quarterly, BetterHomes & Gardens Special Interest Publications and mentioned in Cosmo Girl, Teen Vogue and Allure Magazine. Anne-Marie has also appeared as a repeat guest on the Martha Stewart Radio show, Disney Radio and numerous TV shows, including DIY's Craft Lab and Home Shopping Network.

In 2003, Anne-Marie founded Otion - the Soap Bar to bring her love of soapmaking and all things bath related to the public. Otion proselytizes soap through classes, parties and a full sniffing bar and make-it-now soapbar.

In addition to running Otion and Bramble Berry, Anne-Marie loves helping outthe soap community through her instructional site http://www.teachsoap.com/ and spends many hours every week providing soapmaking tips and answering questions on her blog http://www.soapqueen.com/.

Happy soaping!
